Saint Louis Counseling provides both Professional Counseling and Psychiatry services for children adolescents, and adults. In April 2021, we started a new partnership with ARCA to provide an enhanced approach to our clients’ mental-health needs, including diagnosis and medication management.
What does the partnership with ARCA mean for Saint Louis Counseling’s existing and new psychiatry patients?
ARCA has provided psychiatry services in the Midwest since 1969, from substance-use treatment to general psychiatry, which means that their experience with mental health is vast and experienced. Their Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners treat children, adolescents, and adults with the same compassionate, professional care you are used to at Saint Louis Counseling. In situations where it is determined that clients would benefit from counseling as well as medication, our therapists and ARCA can work collaboratively to provide the best care for our clients.
Saint Louis Counseling accepts most major insurance plans, which will also be accepted by ARCA. In addition, during this time of COVID, all psychiatry sessions will done be through Telehealth, using a confidential virtual platform. Then, when it is safe to do so, we will provide in-person office visits, along with Telehealth appointments as needed.
GENERAL PSYCHIATRY SERVICES: DIAGNOSIS & MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
Often with mental-health conditions, therapy alone can help people get back to feeling like themselves again. But sometimes a medical condition, like ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other mental illnesses require medication. ARCA’s psychiatrists and the nurse practitioners, who are supervised by the psychiatrists, diagnose mental-health conditions and prescribe and manage medications.
