Do you like the color blue?
How would you like to help break down stigma AND provide mental-health funding for students in St. Louis City & County?
Then join the Saint Louis Counseling Young Professionals Board on April 26 and DRESS DOWN STIGMA!
Who’s Invited and What’s Involved?
Everyone is invited! For just $1 per person at participating SPP schools and $5 per person at businesses in St. Louis City and County, kids and adults can “dress down” by donning blue to show support of mental-health services for kids. Because Saint Louis Counseling never turns away clients, even when funding runs out, 100% of the DRESS DOWN STIGMA donations will help fund much-needed counseling sessions and other needs for youths in our School Partnership Program.
Why April 26?
Because it’s right on the cusp of May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month. The more we can do to make mental health easier to talk about, the more we can break down stigma. And the more we can break – or dress – down stigma, the more comfortable people will feel about getting the mental-health services they need when they need it. It’s that simple!
Most people have no trouble finding something blue in their closet or dresser! Plus, it’s one of Saint Louis Counseling’s favorite colors!
