What to Expect
How counseling works at SLC.
Every client receives an individualized treatment plan. Our counselors hold master’s degrees with LCSW or LPC licensure and use evidence-based treatments including cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and family systems approaches.
Sessions are available:
- In-person at any of our 8 locations across Greater St. Louis
- Virtually via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth
- In schools through our School Partnership Program
Most clients see improvement within 6-8 sessions. Some benefit from longer-term support. Your counselor will work with you to find the right pace.
