Nissa Krier, PLPC

Nissa is a Provisionally Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist with a strong academic foundation and diverse clinical experience. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies, with a minor in Communications and a certificate in Interfaith Engagement, from Missouri State University, where she also completed her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

As a full time hybrid clinical therapist, Nissa provides therapy to children and youth at the Union office and at St. Francis Borgia Regional High School. She brings experience from residential settings, community counseling centers, and schools, and is skilled in providing individual, couple, and marital, family, and group therapy.

Nissa has received additional training in adventure therapy, Gottman Level 1 couples therapy, and equine assisted therapy techniques. Her expertise in emerging modalities is reflected in her authored research chapter on the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association, published in a counseling encyclopedia to educate readers on innovative therapeutic approaches.

Using a client centered approach, Nissa prioritizes the development of strong therapeutic relationships. She is passionate about guiding clients on their healing journey, empowering them to recognize their strengths, and supporting them as they move toward lasting wellness.
