Our Florissant Office provides virtual counseling sessions only. Our licensed counselors have decades of experience and understand their clients’ journeys, treating each person individually, according to their needs and diagnoses. Most importantly, our clinicians treat every client with compassion and dignity.

Meet the Florissant Staff

Byron earned his master’s degree in Social Work from Saint Louis University and a second graduate degree from Lindenwood University. He has advanced training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), the Wraparound Process, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Byron provides therapy to adults, families, and children dealing with a broad spectrum of challenges, including trauma, depression and/or anxiety, child abuse, crisis intervention, and grief or loss.

Byron brings extensive experience from working in child welfare and the foster care system, both in the public and private sectors, as well as in hospitals and schools. In his clinical practice, he utilizes Bowen Family Systems Theory and has a strong interest in working with children and families. He is skilled in conducting assessments and offering culturally diverse, strength-based treatment, and also has expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Trauma in Schools (C-BITS).

Sharon Lander holds a Master of Arts in School and Professional Counseling and a Master of Education. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri and has been practicing counseling for 18 years. In addition to her role as a school counselor, Sharon has experience working with children and adults in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings.

Sharon has extensive experience assisting individuals with trauma, anxiety, depression, anger management, self-worth, stress management, family issues, relationship challenges, school stressors, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. Her approach emphasizes helping individuals become the best versions of themselves by focusing on their present state and future aspirations. This includes goal setting, mentoring, skill development, coping strategies, coaching, education, and communication.

Sharon works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, helping them navigate their daily lives, academics, careers, and relationships. She focuses on achieving balance and supporting clients in reaching their personal goals.
